The works of art in this section from the 2009 campaign were selected by a juried panel from the Center for Art and Community Partnerships at Massachusetts College of Art and Design, in Boston, Massachusetts, U.S.A .The panel viewed all of the submitted works and selected eighteen pieces based on the technical and emotive quality of the art along with its ability to infuse the viewer with insight and appreciation of the hope and spirit of the person portrayed.
